With the development of the transportation industry, trucks have become an important tool for truck drivers to make a living, so the status of the vehicle determines their income. A breakdown on the way that delays transportation is a minor matter, but a driving safety incident caused by a vehicle performance problem is a thrilling event.
A comprehensive inspection of the vehicle before driving is a key step to avoid many accidents.
Check the whole vehicle
Before starting, check the whole vehicle
Check tires
Tires are components that carry the weight of the vehicle and generate friction with the ground to propel the vehicle forward.
Make sure there are no problems such as bulges, cracks, cuts, and nails. If there are any abnormalities, please repair them as soon as possible. Please note:
◆ Tire repairs are dangerous and should be performed by professionals;
◆ Only tread punctures with a diameter of less than 6 mm can be repaired. Tread punctures with a diameter of more than 6 mm or any sidewall punctures must not be repaired, otherwise they will become a safety hazard;
◆ After tire repair, dynamic balancing and four-wheel alignment must be performed again to ensure the normal driving of the vehicle.
Lights
The bulb is a very important part of the headlight. Its performance will affect the effect of nighttime lighting and is directly related to driving safety.
1. Check that the left and right turn signals (tractor and trailer) are working properly, obvious, and not blocked by mud.
2. Check that the trailer side lights are working properly, obvious, not blocked by mud, and can fully reflect the size of the vehicle.
3. Check that the nighttime running lights, as well as the low and high beam lights, are working properly and switching normally.
4. Check that the brake indicator light and the reverse lights are working properly and are clearly not blocked.
Important system inspection
Observe the self-test of the on-board computer
Power system
1. After starting the engine, observe whether there are abnormal sounds or abnormalities during the engine startup process.
2. Check whether the idle speed is normal. The normal range is 500-700 rpm. When the temperature is low (in winter), the idle speed will suddenly increase and then gradually stabilize.
3. After starting the engine for 1 minute, slowly step on the accelerator to check whether the accelerator force and speed changes are normal, and confirm that the fuel supply system is normal.
4. Check the air pressure inflation speed, whether there is any abnormal sound from the air pump, and whether the air pressure displayed by the barometer is normal.
5. Check whether other computer self-test indicators are normal, such as oil pressure, tire pressure, oil volume, urea solution residue, etc.
Braking system
1. Release the handbrake, press the brake pedal, and check whether the exhaust of each brake is normal.
2. Press the brake pedal several times to check whether the pressure drop of the pressure gauge is normal.
Control system
1. After the air pressure is full, turn the steering wheel left and right to check whether the power steering and steering wheel variables are normal.
2. Press the clutch and shift gears to check whether the clutch power is exhausted normally, whether the pedal weight is normal, and whether there is any abnormal noise when shifting gears.
3. Start the car after shifting gears, drive slowly for a while, and test the throttle, brake, clutch, and steering to ensure that all systems are coordinated normally.
Inspection of important parts
1. Engine oil level and oil pressure. Check the oil dipstick oil position when checking the vehicle body.
2. Coolant level. Check whether the coolant level is between MAX and MIN.
3. Check whether the seat belt buckle is damaged and whether the limit control is normal.
4. Check whether the saddle function is normal and the connection is firm. Check whether the connection circuit and gas line harness are damaged, and test whether the power supply and gas supply are normal.
5. Check the vehicle's on-board fire extinguisher, triangular warning rack, and whether the spare oil is complete and within the shelf life.
When one person goes out for a drive, the whole family is thinking about him; when one person is safe and sound, the family is blessed. I hope all truck drivers go out happily and return home safely.
